| I began my career studying Soviet foreign and military policy toward the Third World. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, my research and writing have focused primarily on three themes: 1) Russian foreign policy; 2) the politics and international relations of the Middle East (especially the Gulf); and 3) the causes and consequences of transnational revolutionary movements. I have, however, written on several other topics as well. For those who might be interested in specific topics, I have listed my publications and other statements under various categories (please bear in mind, though, that this website is a work in progress). |
